US 191 Bridge @ SF River

Project Name: US 191 Bridge Replacement at the San Francisco River

Construction Cost: $4,580,000.00

Description: CS Construction was the Prime Contractor for the Arizona Department of Transportation (ADOT) to remove and replace a bridge on the US Highway 191 in Clifton, AZ. This project also required CSCI to work with ADOT to design and construct flash flood repairs at theWard Canyon US 191 bridge where significant storm damage occurred shortly after award of the contract

  • CSCI implemented a four phase plan to remove and replace the existing bridge while maintaining two way traffic as well as the active river flow during the entire project duration

  • CSCI worked with ADOT to redesign the Wingwalls and the Dewatering system to accommodate unforeseen conditions that were encountered during construction

  • CSCI also collaborated with the Arizona Eastern Railroad to provide additional scour protection for the abutments and pier of the existing active railroad bridge located adjacent to the new bridge construction
